Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's bout.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
